West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra of Mariánské Lázně, non-profite

The West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra is the oldest Czech orchestra in existence, its origin dating back to 1821. In the decades following the orchestra’s creation, the originally small salon orchestra grew into a medium-sized ensemble, which along with its traditional promenade performances also began to perform symphonic concerts. Presently, the orchestra performs over 100 concerts per year. The core of their musical productions is a 3-cycle subscription series of classical symphonic concerts. The orchestra performs not only in Marienbad but also across the whole West Bohemian region and abroad. Every year the orchestra performs the opening and closing concerts of the prestigious international Chopin Festival.
